The Madonna and Child with attendant angels

Francesco Albani was a Bolognese artist also active in Rome who was strongly influenced by Annibale Carracci's classical style. A nearly identical version of the present Holy Family with Two Angels, in which the idyllic landscape at right is replaced by the figure of St. Joseph, is in the Pitti Palace, Florence.
