Lot Essay

This is one of the first artworks dedicated by Francesco Vezzoli to the divas of Italian Cinema, caught in the act of doing needlework, in this case from Luchino Visconti's movies. The work is related to the artist's first video project "An Embroidered Trilogy".
This triptych features Maria Schell (from "White Nights - Le Notti Bianche"), Rina Morelli and Lucilla Morlacchi (both from "The Leopard - Il Gattopardo").
