COPY NO. 22 OF ONLY 30 COPIES ISSUED, signed by the author. First published in Cricket in five parts, 26 October 1905-22 February 1906. Many of the usual statistical tables were omitted from this issue making it the shortest in the series. Fielding was perhaps less sharp than it is now since in the Gents. of England v Australia match at Crystal Palace in May, 'R.A. Duff made a 9 -- 5 all run off W. Brearley, and 4 from the overthrow (reaching the boundary) by G.L. Jessop'. The speed of Jessop's scoring is noted, as is the debut of Hobbs who 'had the distinction of playing a three-figure innings (28 and 155) on his first appearance for Surrey'.
