FIRST EDITION, DEDICATION COPY, THE FIRST COPY OFF THE PRESS with a leaf from the printer signed and tipped to the title-page: "...this book is the first volume of the first edition" and a full-page inscription signed by Gardner: "To my friend Richard O. Myers, M.D. This first copy of the first edition (see certification on following page) With all good wishes Yours E. Stanley Gardner April 1961" with flourishes. Dr. Myers was a forensic pathologist.
