Dughet painted two other versions of the present composition. This lot would appear to follow the composition of the picture in the Wallraf-Richardtz Museum (see M.N. Boisclair, Gaspard Dughet 1615 - 1675, Paris, 1986, cat. no. 216, pp. 240-1, fig. 258).
