Lot Essay

The present lot in an enlarged version of 'Anasthasie' from 1957 (see: Van Jole, cat.no. 135), which was commissioned for the Congolese Pavillion of the World Expo in Brussels in 1958. The sitter is Anasthasie Kosoagna.
