Lot Essay

Fritz Meyer-Fierz was a Swiss collector working for the Deli-Maatschappij in the Dutch Indies. He occasionally visited Amsterdam where he purchased paintings at Kunsthandel E.J. van Wisselingh & Co. His collection was gradually sold following the death of his widow. The Dutch paintings and works on paper in the collection were offered at the above mentioned sale at Frederik Muller in 1926.
