Sir Walter Gilbey, Bt., (1831-1914), of Elsham Hall, Lincolnshire, was president of the Royal Agricultural Society (1895-96). He formed an important collection, predominantly of English sporting pictures, which was sold by Christie's on 11 June 1915.
