Lot Essay

Nijinsky danced the title role of Narcisse in costumes designed by Léon Bakst at the Paris premiere on 6 June 1911 at the Théâtre du Châtelet.

The first performance of Le Tragédie de Salomé took place on 12 June 1913 at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées with Tamara Karsavina dancing the role of Salomé.
