Eric Fitch Daglish (1892-1966) was an author and engraver, and a close friend of the artist brothers, Paul and John Nash, and Eric Gill who was a neighbour. His many illustrated works include The Birds of the British Isles and he also illustrated the work of other authors, including Walton's Complete Angler. Painting and dog breeding (he was a judge at Crufts) were among his varied interests.
