Lot Essay

Bezzuoli was a Professor at the Academy in Florence from 1814, becoming Professor of Drawing in 1816 and of Painting in 1844. As such he was closely involved in the decoration of the Palzzo Pitti under the Lorraine Grand Dukes of Tuscany.
