GLORIA SWANSON GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD FOR "SUNSET BOULEVARD"
1950
A Golden Globe Award presented to Gloria Swanson for the performance she is best remembered for -- that of the deluded Norma Desmond in the film noir classic. Though the marble base has some slight chips and the globe is somewhat tarnished, the overall piece is still in very good condition with the frontal brass plaque reading To Gloria Swanson For the Best Dramatic Performance of 1950 By An Actress Sunset Boulevard The Hollywood Foreign Correspondents Association. Ms. Swanson was also nominated for an Academy Award that year for "Sunset Boulevard," but instead the Oscar went to Judy Holliday for "Born Yesterday."
