The well-potted vase with almost spherical body and cylindrical neck is covered in a vibrant purplish-blue glaze on the exterior thinning at the white rim.

Compare this vase with a slightly larger blue-glazed vase, also dating to the Qianlong period, which was included in the exhibition The Wonders of the Potter's Palette, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 1984, catalogue no. 85.
