Lot Essay

Depicted in the present lot is the maiden voyage of this famous Fokker F IIV. On the 25th of March 1925 this aircraft took off from Schiphol airport carrying 8 passengers resulting in an order for 16 of this legendary aeroplane by the KLM. One of these planes can still be seen at the Museum 'Aviodrome' in Lelystad.
