A 9¾-inch (25cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and meridian of Greenwich graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated but unlabelled, the oceans showing ocean currents and steamship routes with the names of the lines which run them, the continents with some nation states outlined in red or orange and showing rivers and mountains, towns and cities, and the Great Wall of China (some small abrasions and discolouration) with stamped brass meridian half-circle, turned fruitwood finial and turning handle, raised on a baluster turned fruitwood column, with two removeable pegs, and circular plinth base with inset compass -- 17½ (44.5cm.) high
