2o (480 x 310 mm). 53 engraved double-page maps (some browning and staining, some maps with repairs or tears along folds, title and preliminary leaf with perforated stamp). Later vellum (crudely rebacked with cloth).
Later edition. "The Accuratissima orbis antiqui delineatio was first published by Joannes Janssonius in Amsterdam in 1652. This preliminary edition did not yet contain the text written by Georg Hornius. In 1653, the first edition with the text by Hornius appeared" (see Koeman III, Ja2).
