Lot Essay

Born in 1944, Murata Yoshitaka is a Japanese politician and a member of the China-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians' Union. A very close friend of Huang Zhou's, he was involved in the sales and marketing of the artist's works in Japan and they corresponded with each other often. Murata was at the bedside of Huang Zhou in his final days.
