At Guam they recuperated from fevers contracted in equatorial waters and were entertained by the generous Governor, Don Midinilla. From Guam and the Marianne Islands they made Hawaii, staying for three weeks in August, before sailing south for New South Wales. The following lots include a large group of Arago's coastal profiles of Pacific Islands and Taunay's studies of marine life including works drawn on the spot as the Uranie ran through the Pacific.
