In the custody of the Dutch Government.
Restituted in February 2006 to the heir of Jacques Goudstikker (subject to investigation of the status of joint ownership);
Marei von Saher, the heir of Jacques Goudstikker, New York, NY (confirmed as sole owner after investigation into the status of prior joint ownership).

Lot Essay

De Witte dates the present painting to c. 1660, linking it with a larger group of works by Van Noordt, including Venus and the Three Graces in The Hague, Instituut Collectie Nederland (loc. cit.).
