Lot Essay

In the Easy Fun series Jeff Koons produces a variety of monochromatic mirrors which reporduce the outlines of three-dimensional animals on a flat surface. Made highly reflective by special techniques, stylised in their forms and artificial in their colours, they offer and reveal an attempt to reconcile the optomistic and reassuring world of literature and children's toys with the complexity of real life reflected by the shiny surfaces.
