Lot Essay

“This is the third piece in the Pool of Muscles Series. The inspiration came from a photograph of a watermelon fallen off on the ground and smashed alike fireworks. The image sparks off a series of imagination associating fireworks everywhere. Physically they are different matters, however, if adopting the sight of ‘Mr. Close Enough’, viewers could see fireworks everywhere in the painting. Close enough, the world becomes beautiful; more or less, everything would be destroyed.”- Joey Leung Ka-Yin
