Lot Essay

Johann Hamza, born in Teltsch, attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and studied under Ed. von Engerth. Hamza's paintings were widely exhibited between the years of 1879 and 1890 in Vienna and Dresden as well as Munich.
