Lot Essay

Minton used to visit Edie Lamont (wife of the coal-merchant broker Marshall Lamont) who lived in Kent and it has been suggested that this church is probably in Kent.

We are grateful to Frances Spalding for her assistance in cataloguing lots 4 and 5.
