lithograph printed in black and red, 1922-23, on smooth wove paper, signed in pencil, inscribed 'Probe', a colour variant, presumably very rare, if not unique, aside from the edition of fifty published in the sixth Kestner portfolio, printed to the edges of the sheet, trimmed circa 7cm. at the left, an unobtrusive soft crease towards the lower centre of the image, a thin strip of red varnish (?) at the extreme upper and lower sheet edges
