Lot Essay

The role of Herodiade was played by the French actress Odette de Fehl at the inaugural performance of Salomé which took place at the
Théatre du Châtelet in June 1912. The music was composed by Alexander Glazunov, the choreography created by Mikhail Fokine and the costumes designed by Léon Bakst.
