Lot Essay

The collection belongs to an American professor and his wife who taught American literature in universities in Hong Kong and Taipei from 1968 to 1976. During their time in Asia, they had the opportunity to see many Chinese paintings. Guided by the late Professor Sheung Chung Ho (1937-2010), they made acquisitions to build up their collection.
