Lou Bo'an, native of Hangzhou, is a contemporary Chinese ink artist. Using the unique qualities of Chinese xuan paper, ink and mineral colours, Lou creates dream-like compositions of nature, and his pieces are known as "the explorer of new frontiers of Chinese paintings". Lou currently holds several highly regarded art related posts in Hangzhou, Jiangsu, as well as director for the Lou Bo'an Centre for New Art at the Hangzhou Teacher's University.
