Second edition, first published in 1535, although earlier editions may have been lost. It was written in the form of a letter to Edmond Withipole, presumably one of his students, at Cardinal Wolsey's house, More in Hertfordshire on the feast of St.Bartholomew (24 August) 1529. Lupset, a close friend of Thomas More and Erasmus, had edited the second edition of Utopia. STC 16937 (records 6 copies, including the present). Of the previous edition only two copies are known.
