Gouache heightened with gold on paper, the maharaja kneels on a terrace, his arm resting on a cushion, wearing a long white robe and green turban, surrounded on each side by female attendants, one carrying a tamboura, behind them tree tops, laid down on gold-speckled blue paper on pink card, mounted glazed and framed
