Lot Essay

The present work depicts three girls on the shore of Coney Island. The original plaster was exhibited at the seminal Armory Show of 1913. Eberle later cast the three figures separately as 'Child Picking Seaweed', 'Girl Standing' and 'Girl Seated'.
