Kilmurry/Thomastown/No2/The Delegates' (on the reverse) and signed again and inscribed 'New Irish Salon the Delegates Miss Mildred A. Butler A.R.W.S./Kilmurry- Thomastown/Co Kilkenny/£15.15.0' (on an old label attached to the backboard)

Descriptif du lot

Paintings of birds such as peacocks and rooks were favourite subjects of Butler and she executed a number of watercolours of rooks with witty anthropomorphic titles, such as Chucked; Green Eyed Jealousy: Ravens amongst trees, Christie's, London, 14 July 1998, lot 127.
