Manuscript on vellum, 144ff. plus one flyleaf, each with 17ll. of minute black naskh, gold clouds between the lines, gold roundels between verses, gold margin between black rules, illuminated marginal medallions marking the divisions of text, illuminated devices in the outer upper corners marking the sura, ruled outer margin, sura headings in black on gold panels, (flyleaf loose, a few other folios loosening from binding, generally good condition), opening bifolio with illuminated list of suras, following bifolio also illuminated around opening suras, final folio with the text written on gold containing the colophon stating the book was prepared for Sayyid Muhammad Ja'far known as Aqa Mirza and dated 1292, original gold and polychrome lacquer binding with concentric medallions (some cracking and flaking), red lacquer doublures, in red leather presentation case
