Naomi Leshem est née en 1963 à Tel Aviv, où elle vit et travaille. Elle est représentée par la galerie Meislin Project, New York. Ses photographies ont intégré les collections de plusieurs institutions culturelles comme le Israel Museum of Jerusalem. L’artiste fût gratifiée de plusieurs prix, dont le Leon Constantiner Prize for Photography, en 2009.
Dans cette série ‘Runways’ Naomi Leshem photographie des bases aériennes désertées par l’activité humaine. Le temps passe, les paysages changent, mais la linéarité de la piste demeure, comme statufiée.

Naomi Leshem was born in 1963 in Tel Aviv, where she lives and works. She is represented by the Meislin Projects Gallery, New York. Her photographs are included in the collections of several cultural institutions, such as the Israel Museum of Jerusalem. The artist has received several prizes, including the Leon Constantiner Prize for Photography in 2009.
For her ‘Runways’ series, Naomi Leshem photographed air bases devoid of human activity. Time passes, landscapes change, but the linearity of the runway endures, as if set in stone.
