Woodcut device on title of part 2, with the 2 final blanks in part 1. Adams B1885. [Bound with:] [Hebrew, then] Euangelium secundum Matthaeum in lingua Hebraica, cum versione Latina, atque annotationibus Sebastiani Munsteri, Basel: S. Henricpetri, [1582 but c.1610]. Title and text in Hebrew and Latin, woodcut device on last page (a few light waterstains, a slightly tired copy). This copy conforms entirely to Adams B1886; but the date of 1582 cannot be correct as the work is dedicated to Henry, Prince of Wales. 2 works in one volume, 8°. 17th-century vellum (spine rather darkened).
No VAT on hammer price or buyer's premium.
Sale Room Notice
The dedication is of course to Henry VIII and not to Henry, Prince of Wales. The date of 1582 therefore stands.
