A fine 1½-inch (3.8cm.) diameter miniature terrestrial globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, the equatorial and equinoctial colure graduated in degrees, the meridian of Greenwich ungraduated, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with sigils, the oceans showing the tracks of Cook, Gore and Clark [sic], Antarctica with no coastline shown, the continents shaded in yellow, pink and green and showing rivers, national boundaries and the Great Wall of China, Canada and Greenland with no northern coastline, Alaska labelled Russian Settle. (varnish loss to several areas, some slight abrasions and minor paper loss), on a silvered brass stand, with unengraved meridian half circle, baluster turned column, and circular plinth base -- 27/8in. (7.3cm.) high
