A 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter miniature terrestrial globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, the equatorial graduated in degrees, the Meridian of London ungraduated, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with sigils, the oceans with the tracks of Cook's three voyages and that of Captain Biscoe, with various dates and some notes, the continents outlined in green, red, orange and pale yellow and showing rivers, mountains, deserts, towns, cities and the Chinese wall, Alaska labelled Russian Territy , South Africa labelled CAFRERIA, the islands of New Zealand labelled in Maori Eahei Nomauwe and Tavai Poenamoo, Antarctica showing only the small portion of coastline for Enderby's land (several areas of varnish loss, no paper damage beyond some discolouration) with iron axis pins in a turned mahogany case with domed lid with flat knop -- 4¼in. (10.8cm.) high
