Lot Essay

Daughter of General Gilles d'Hautefort (1612-1693) and Marthe d'Estourmel (1632-1701), Angélique d'Hautfort married César-Phoebus, Marquis of Bonneval de Blanchefort.

We are grateful to Monsieur Dominique Brême for confirming the attribution, on inspection of the original. He will be including the picture in his forthcoming catalogue raisonné.
