A scratch-built model dolls' house, of two bays and five storeys with basement, painted cream with balustrading on first and fourth floors, and stained glass window, chimney stack and tiled roof, the front door with columned porch, the basement stairs with black painted railings, front opening with additional doors to side, the interior stairs with cast metal balusters, part furnished and decorated, the house on castors
The house is on a 1:12 scale measuring 84in. (213cm.) high, 79½in. (202cm.) wide, 26½in. (67.5cm.) deep

Lot Essay

Faith Eaton comissioned this house as a replica of her own home where she lived all her life. Each floor of the house was made to represent a different generation of the family, the uppermost floor representing the most recent generation. Sadly, the decoration remained an unfinished project.
