Cal. 284 copper-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic balance, metal dust cap, black dial, luminescent dagger and triangular numerals, white Arabic 3, 6, 9 and 12 numerals, luminescent hands, triangular tipped hour hand, center seconds, circular water-resistant-type case, screw back engraved with the Railmaster logo, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Accompanied by an Omega Extract from the Archives confirming the date of manufacture on December 12th, 1958 and its subsequent delivery to the United States. The Railmaster wristwatch was produced especially for scientists and technicians working in high electric fields. The mechanism is antimagnetic to 900 gauss.
