Each vase is vibrantly decorated and gilt with elaborate scrolling lotus below bats and mythical beasts bearing be-ribboned wan symbols all on a turquoise ground. Each neck and waist is decorated with ruyi-head bands, and a lappet band encircles the foot. The interior and base are glazed turquoise, and the base has an apocryphal Jiaqing six-character seal mark in iron-red.
