Lot Essay

Other examples of early cushion-shaped wristwatches are illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, pp. 104 & 108-109.

The present lot is distinguished by the geometric motif to the corners of the dial and the sweep center seconds - two factors that make this watch very rare.
