A fine and rare 18K gold dual time zone wristwatch Signed Patek Philippe, Geneve, Movement No. 729429, Case No. 310504, Ref. 2597, circa 1961 12'''-400 HS, with nickel-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, movement stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva, the silvered matte dial with applied gold baton indexes, gold dauphine hands, subsidiary seconds, the circular case with downturned lugs, two buttons in the band to advance or set back the independently adjustable jumping hour hand for second time zone, snap on back, together with an 18K gold Patek Philippe buckle, case, dial and movement signed 35 mm. diam.

Lot Essay

This watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production in 1961 and its subsequent sale on February 20th of that same year.

Fewer than 20 known examples of this model exist. This lot, however, is in wonderful condition and still possesses its original sale sticker with hand written note 'STY 2597, 18K, 18jl, $1000.00'.
