Lot Essay

Accompanied by the original Patek Philippe red leather-covered box. The watch is also accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture as 1961 and its subsequent sale on July 18th of the same year.

According to our research the present watch has never before appeared at auction.

The reference 782 was in production from 1959 until approximately 1964. The watch was originally made with the caliber 23-300 or 12-400 and later using the 27-400. It is interesting to note that this watch was called the Golf watch as Patek Philippe designed it to be attached to golf bags.
