With: 18K gold and stainless steel Patek Philippe bracelet with deployant clasp, overall length of approx. 170 mm., Certificate of Origin stamped by German retailer Franz E. Bauer confirming the sale of the watch with gilt dial, Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 18K gold and stainless steel in 1981 and its subsequent sale on 5 October 1981. The Extract furthermore confirms that the black dial is not mentioned in the firm's Archives.

Lot Essay

Made in 1981, year of introduction of ref. 4700/1, the present example is an early representative of the smallest size model of the Nautilus collection, still retaining the Reference 4700 was in production from 1981 until 2004 and was available in different versions as to case material and dial colour.

The present example was originally sold with a gilt dial as stated on the Certificate of Origin. The present black version was added to a later date.
