Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the production of the present watch with this diamond-set silvered dial in 1958 and its subsequent sale with the 18K white gold bracelet on 24 March 1959.

It is thought that only 15 examples of the reference 2526 in platinum have appeared on the auction market so far out of which less than half feature the silvered matt dial with diamond indexes. The present watch is furthermore an exclusivity as being originally delivered with the 18K white gold bracelet by Gay Frères. It should also be mentioned that it is the first time that this watch is offered at auction.

For a note on Gay Frères see lot 84 in this sale.
