With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated 23 November 2010, additional case back, leather folder, product literature, slip case, box key, fitted presentation box and outer packaging.
Launched at Baselworld 2010, the acclaimed reference 5950A is the perfect renaissance of the unmistakable late 1920s style of chronograph. This dream timepiece is assembled with the thinnest column wheel chronograph caliber ever made. This movement of outstanding precision is stamped with the Patek Philippe Seal, the replacement of the Geneva Seal, testifying to the level of engineering, craftsmanship, hand-finishing and decoration involved in the creation of such an exceptional timepiece.
The cushion-shaped case combined with an ornate dial featuring Breguet numerals, symmetric decoration in the corners and the classic Art Deco-style font of the numerals inside the subsidiary registers - all elements used some 80+ years earlier - can be found again in a member of Patek Philippe's exclusive family of split-seconds chronographs. The superb movement powering this timepiece was crafted specifically for the launch of what is already a "mythical" watch amongst collectors. The reference 5950A in this configuration has been discontinued and is now followed by the reference 5950/1A - introduced at Baselworld 2015 - on a steel bracelet with two different dial configurations. The last retail price of the 5950A was CHF 441,600.
Demonstrating the ability of Patek Philippe to create the most legendary timepieces, the present chronograph is offered in factory-sealed condition and has therefore never been worn. Furthermore, it is delivered complete with all original accessories including additional case back, certificates and other literature.
