A basket of grapes, with other fruit and dead birds on a ledge

We are grateful to Professor Dr. Gerhard Bott for confirming the attribution to Binoit. He notes that it belongs to an important group of securely attributed paintings by the artist with shared components, such as the flat wicker basket, which reappears in a work in Castle Skokloter, Sweden. He intends to publish the present picture in his forthcoming work Die Stillebenmaler Soreau, Binoit, Codino und Marrell in Hanau und Frankfurt 1600-1650.
