Lot Essay

Liselund Gammel Slot (Liselund Old Palace), on the island of Møn, was designed in 1792 by Anders Kirekrup, a popular architect of the time. Designed in French neoclassical style, the property was intended to be a peaceful lystslot (pleasure-house).

In the present lot Ilsted communicates the tranquility of the surrounding parkland through the soft light which falls against the calm yellow interior.
