2o (280 x 205 mm). Prospectus. 12 hand-colored lithographs signed "J.S." (lightly browned, a bit thumbed). 4 pp. preliminaries. (A bit browned.) Loose in original green cloth backed pictorial printed paper boards portfolio (extremities rubbed, spotted, lacking some ties); folding box. Provenance: ownership inscription dated 16 June 1888; Kenyon Starling (bookplate).

FIRST EDITION, on Whatman paper dated 1887, characters identified in pencil on each plate. Yale/Gimbel H1163.
