Lot Essay

Seven drawings by Ghezzi of the the Villa Sacchetti, at Castelfusano near Ostia and perhaps most famous for the frescoes by Pietro da Cortona, were in the collection of Anthony Blunt and are now in the Courtauld Institute, London (D 1984.AB.34-40).
